We came across this stunt where some ATM’s across Sydney were hit with a guerilla stunt by Tax Today. The ATM’s were given a quick makeover by placing green cardboard with the following message: “Get your tax refund this fast”. Tax Today is a same-day tax refund service. Its a pretty ballsy move – not sure how effective it was since most customers go in and out of ATM’s quite quickly to grab their cash. But it certainly got our attention!
The tax industry doesn’t normally take a lot of risks. Most of the advertising is quite conservative, so good to see a brand try to push the envelope.
Hopefully Tax Today and their advertising agency Uncle don’t get sued =)
